When I told Maggie that gay meant "happy" she said, "no, what else does it mean."
Hmm.... how did my girly-girl eschewing, pants wearing kid know that. There was no snowing her. So, I told her being gay means that a girl can love and marry another girl, and a boy can love and marry another boy. It is not a big deal, that love=love I added. She nodded.
